Our ABLE

Story

The Story of “ABLE”

We are Star Wars fans, and we wanted a name that started with an A that signified power, strength, and leadership so the name “Anakin” seemed to fit the bill.  Through various rescues and shelters, we began our journey in 2021 in search of our “Anakin”.

We first met our boy at a public park in San Diego, CA in April of 2021.  He was many S’s – skinny, shaking, stinky, and very scared. He was so scared to the point he was completely immobile and unable to move on his own.  I had to carry him from the meeting place and into our car all the while he was shaking and helpless.  We later learned that our boy was transported across the border from Tijuana that morning, where he was born and spent the first 5-1/2 months of his life.

We had the name Anakin already selected, however, we decided that the name “Able” would be more fitting as we wished one day he will be ABLE to walk and run on his own with confidence.  Our hope was for Able to be ABLE to grow strong and be without fear, and for him to be ABLE to find happiness and live life to the fullest.

When the idea to start a security consulting business came up, the same principles came to mind.  We want to enABLE you to be a secured organization given the common lack of expertise and resource within the SMEs space.  We want to simplify the complicated technology landscape so you can focus on growing your business instead.  We believe you will be ABLE to grow strong and be without fear of cybersecurity threats as you equip yourself with the knowledge and empowerment on how to deal with the unknown.

ABLE Today

Able came into our lives as a rescue from Tijuana Mexico, and from the very first day, he brought with him a spark and a sweetness that warmed every corner of our home. Able filled every moment with joy, love, and boundless energy.

For the past three years, Able made our family complete, forming a special bond with his 2-legged older siblings—a wise 14-year-old sister and a gentle 11-year-old brother. Able’s days were full of simple joys, the kind that make life feel complete. He loved his twice-daily walks around the neighborhood, each one an opportunity to explore, make new friends, and bring smiles to everyone he met. Whether they had two legs or four, everyone who crossed paths with Able was touched by his gentle spirit and his unmistakable enthusiasm for life. He had a way of making everyone feel like family, his soft eyes and wagging tail always an invitation to love and be loved.

Able taught us so much about kindness, resilience, and the pure joy of living in the present. He reminded us to savor each moment, to greet every new day and every new friend with open-hearted enthusiasm.

Able wants to share the love and caring with all his 4-legged friends and remind everyone to help the 4 legged friends when possible.
